Rod Cedaro : B. App. Sc. (Phys. Ed.), M. App. Sc. (Phys. Ed.), Dip. Ed. and ACC Accredited Level III Triathlon Coach, has a diverse professional career.
After graduating from university Rod Cedaro taught Physical Education. before returning to studies and obtaining a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology. While studying he competed as an elite endurance athlete winning national titles in triathlon and duathlon and setting a course record at the Brisbane Marathon.
He has consulted to various sporting organisations throughout the world including the Australian Institute of Sport, the Australian and International Olympic Committees, Hong Kong Sports Institute, Singapore Sports Council and the International Triathlon Union.
Rod Cedaro, Altitude Services
Rod is extremely passionate about health and sports, in particular the different types of training to improve endurance – including training at altitude.
Rod is General Manager at Altitude Services who provide a wide range of technological advances in this area. This type of training has become more popular in recent years and even extends to training animals such as racehorses.
Altitude Services has currently been commissioned to retrofit a sand roll and install a state-of-the-art high altitude training and testing facility at 2013 Cox Plate winning trainer, Danny O’Brien’s Flemington racing stables. Training at altitude suits many different sportspeople including swimmers, boxers and footballers.
